We can’t enthuse about this box enough. We are often tempted to keep things, well to hold on to them for a while, and this little stunner is one of those pieces. It’s very simple with a hinged lid and inside you can see the tin but also it’s lined with dark blue velvet. It has a lovely rope detailing around the box at the top and bottom. The lid has a very slight curve to ease opening. The top has a gold coin which appears to be a George IV half sovereign! It’s a great and useful size for any number of uses. Obviously jewellery but could be paperclips or keys in an office or study. We really hope it goes to a good home to love and cherish it as much as we may well do 🤣
It is in vintage condition with some patina and no dents or dings. The tin on the base is a bit discoloured but obviously that can’t be seen.
