Description
A selection of large, brutal, imposing, unique and typically 70’s storage jars and containers for Bread, Pasta, Flour and Utensils. Some would say ugly but they have so much character. The outer is unglazed, with a scorched appearance, the wording crudely stencilled onto the clay by the potter. The inner is glazed where the produce would be stored.
No makers marks so origin is unknown. Rare and unique, we have searched and searched and have only found one similar jar sold on Etsy. Possibly could be by Cranbrook Station pottery in Kent as have found some very similar items that have come from that maker. Whoever made them these really are very special items!
They all have removable lids apart from the utensils pot.
No chips or cracks on all the pieces apart from the Bread bin which has a knock on the lid and a couple of smaller chips on the rim (see photos).
Honestly, these are really weighty item. Very very heavy. So to send is going to need loads of packing and be costly for courier – please remember this is included in the prices.
Items are to be sold separately.
