Description

A lovely little carved oak footstool. Having done some research we believe that it was actually a skilled apprentice’s piece of a miniature version of a Jacobean style table which was made in the 1900s Edwardian period. This was showing the skills he’d learned with intricate carving on the top and edges, the hand turned legs and a barley twist strut. Then it has had brass tacks hammered in around the top.

It is in good antique condition with some gaps in some of the joints but they are all holding and some wear to the wood, but would be expected in a piece of over 100 years old. Please see photos for condition.

Perfect to use in the house as a footstool, plant stand, or just as standalone piece.

29 x 19 coms – height 19 cms
