We are a bit perplexed by these. We bought them as napkin rings as there was a set of six, but the opening is slightly smaller than we would expect. One of our bigger napkins doesn’t fit in but a normal smaller one does. We are also not exactly sure what they are made from – initially we thought they were ebony wood, but they could be some sort of stone. They are very dark brown but they have purplish hue.
Anyway all we know is they are a very attractive set of six – perfect for a dinner party and would add to the overall table dressing with a crisp white linen napkins. Really weighty and etched with primitive leaves and dots on the top and bottom, and then larger leaves on the outside.
They are a set but because of their rustic nature they are vary slightly in height.
The opening for the napkin is 3.5 cms
