Description
A Victorian Toleware cash tin or money box. It is from circa 1930s. Obviously it’s been used and is a chipped and scratched showing its working life over 90 years. It does have a lock but unfortnately the key is missing. There are six slots which go into individual coin compartments. The original labels for Rates and Taxes | Coal and Lighting | Clothing | Rent and then two blanks. Someone has recent other title below and inside as well. There is also a wage envelope inside and a coin envelope.
It’s very charming and has a million stories to tell we’re sure.
